Rarely offered for sale: 1823 edition of “More Wonders of the Invisible World” by Robert Calef.
- This is no ordinary copy of the 1823 edition; it boasts excellent provenance, having once been a part of the Library of the Independent Christian Society, as indicated by the pastedown inside. Additionally, it was included in the American Paris Library collection, which is evidenced by a stamp on one of the pages.
- The book underwent professional restoration by a book binder/restorer in the Boston metro area. Documentation of this restoration is included with the sale. It has been fully rebound in a binding appropriate to the period, resembling another copy from 1828.
- This 1823 edition is currently not available for sale on other platforms like eBay or AbeBooks. It is a rare find, typically only housed in academic libraries.
- BONUS: Receive an additional, unrestored 1823 edition of the same book as part of the sale.
